Arrogance of righteousness
by RAVINDRA NATH on Sep 24, 2017 09:26 PM

No doubt the movie is realistic and make eye open to
the people living in cities and towns the horrible conditions of our far flung tribal
villages. Why place in chattisgarh with tribal population is like this after glorious seventy years of our Independence?
But the protagonist extremely idealist can earn many people`s accolades, as Director depicts him, is also in danger of putting the sustem in chaos. He is as described by the one of characters(Sanjay Mishra) in one of the scenes as suffering from "immadari ka gammad" (arrogance of richeousness) is apt and hilarious.
One occasionally meet such people in the life and they can create havoc with the system
more than the people deeply impounded in corruption!
Happy to know our cinema is more and more exploring the hereto unexplored spaces.
Kudos to the Director, Writer and Actors!

And such columns will be written when a movie becomes chosen as the country's entry to the Oscars. Otherwise would have been forgotten

by omtraders on Sep 23, 2017 07:01 PM

Criticizing an Epic doesn't makes you Different from what majority of People felt who watched the movie are saying. It makes you an infant who doesn't know whats happening and still giving his/her views
I think before posting any content on this portal. you should read it yourself is it worth it or not.

I read first paragraph of what you have written above.it is showing that u liked the movie but you still want to go out of the box and find out nonsense flaws.

Jayaprakash Balan
Excellent movie
by Jayaprakash Balan on Sep 23, 2017 03:10 PM

This is called a movie and every minute and money worth of it. What a wonderful real picture and what super acting by the stalwarts like Raj Kumar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Raghuvir Yadav and even others in small role. You feel you are part of the movie and is in the midst of Chattisgarh forest with tension of anytime attack by Naxals. And what a way to present the true picture of adivasis. Every body in city and town and other parts of the country should see this movie to understand the Govt. apathy and neglect and how lucky we are compared to those poor people and without knowing the facts, we common people also make blatant comments against the adivasis. Such movies should be shown in colleges and even higher schools so that students and future of our country doesn't just live in fantastical world of masala movies, but understand the reality of interior India and get an encouragement and inspiration to be part of the unfortunates and try to do something for the betterment of those people who has not known or seen life in true sense like having education, development etc. We have to encourage such filmmakers and team by seeing their movies and giving them profits than wasting our money in masala entertainers.

I have similar experience while conducting last election.

Yes, this India also exists.

Urban audience will find difficult to connect themselves for obvious reasons.
