In films everyone dances.Poetic licence permits that.A work of fiction is not history, but a creative work taking inspiration from legendary,mythological or historical figures.There is always hyperbole when characters are depicted in movies and books - they dance,romance,sing,do buffoonery.You cannot take offence at these.What is history.History is the recollection of the past as perceived by the historian.The perception may not be true to the reality.

Thomas Sir, this person trivialised Bajirao Peshwa too. There was a muted protest which was of course steam rolled by the FOE & creative brigade. He is turning out to be a habitual defaulter ably supported by FOE & creative people. Money overrides sensitivity. Saw CHOCOLATE on TV yesterday. How subtly they have portrayed the interference of the Church in peoples life and how shrewedly those gutsy women throw the yoke into the trash can. Cannot expect that from Bhansali can we.

Traditions won't go away fast: Even though the privy purse and titles were abolished, Princes are referred to as Yuvaraj and when the time comes as Maharaj with the rituals of coronation strictly observed. Traditional roles like conducting the Dassera festival in Mysore, Rathyatra in Puri or Danteswari puja in Bastar it is the local royalty that does the job.

this particular picture is on some human being and no G0d is involved in it ...to say religious sentiments are hurt ... so, please do not drag religion into it...
and movies are, mostly, on fictions and imaginations and sometimes there might be some improvisation to entertain viewers ... people must take it that way rather than resorting to violence ... if still there are some objections, take the legal route ...
After the Gujrat election, the picture will get the clearance from the supreme court, and all the states whoever banned the picture will give tax exemption. Hope the picture will get a collection of more 1000 crore.

Dan Brown books have not been banned.There was a hue and cry about Davinci Code that is all and the movie was not banned.In any case beccause of the controversy the viwership got a boost.All the same I watched the movie and read the book.It was just a run of the mill thriller .
