Rossellini arrived in India to make a documentary on our country but soon got involved in stealing another man's wife. After he divorced Ingrid Bergman to marry Sonali, Bergman found herself another spouse. All did not end well however, as the divorces were found to be invalid and all the parties involved were technically guilty of bigamy. It took many months to clear the mess.
