I would differ a bit and say that Dangal,sultan were both hit and touched the movie goer.Dangal was a spl film and is of different genre.But Bahubali has created a genre for itself..hats off to Rajamauli for a world class entertainment.

Nothing against any actor or religion...but it is a fact that Amir Khan and Salman Khan always rely on big Holiday Solo release for their movies to ensure that their movies get good opening. Hence they are insecure and scared of competition. To that extent Shahrukh is reasonably strong. But Bahubali didnt rely on any Big holiday opening nor was scared of any competition. If Bahubali had resorted to same means like Amir and Salman then Bahubali's earnings would have been much higher
I think this movie should be an eye opener for bollywood. Focusing on indian themes that people can connect with gives you more audience.
Instead of showing heros and heroines drinking, dancing and more all night, which is not the kind of life majority of indians live. So, once the novelty was gone, those kind of movies are not even making 50cr anymore.
Connecting with the real indian audience (not the south bombay gang) and making movies them will get you more audience and more money too. Baahubali and Dangal have proved this beyond doubt.
