All said and done ...the movie though not new in plot makes up for some wonderful performances from Sridevi,Nawazuddin ,Sajal Ali and last but not the least AkshayKhanna ,he needs to do more films...the direction, photography and music is first rate....worth a watch
Sukanya Verma, I understand that you're film critic, but always keep in mind that you write reviews for Hindi movies, not for a Hollywood movie. The kind of English you use is far from understanding by a common man (that's me).
Is it very difficult to write simple English!!?? Movies may be good or bad, but your reviews are simply horrible. I am thinking of changing my profession to review critic from now on.

Amit,You want to be a reviewer just to write simple English? Nothing else is required to be a film critic, is it? What if some one after reading your review writes "Movies may be good or bad, but your reviews are simply kindergarten level plain". Will you stop being a film critic?
Hi Sukanya. I admire your English vocabulary. It appears you are very eager to communicate that you are well prepared to appear GRE test. Please try to use simple words. It is very difficult to write simple. I was never a fan of Sridevi but was thinking to watch this movie after the movie reviews in media. Honestly, your review has not helped me decide that. By the way, good luck for your GRE tests.

Nicely worded. Even I am not a fan of Sridevi, especially of her quavering face in an emotional scene, which the writer has praised so much. Yes, the write-up could have been simply worded.

I did not find the review difficult to understand. The English is not as complicated as you make it out to be. And the review is not bad at all. If you want simple English, maybe you can read some of the reviews appearing in our so-called mainstream newspapers. It won't be just the English, even the reviewer's brain will be simple and unidimensional. Or you can read nursery rhymes.
