OK REDIFF you are fond of insulting Hindu culture. look go and interpret islam and kuran like this, you will be stoned to death. why don\'t you give this logic for screening of film , the innocence of Muhammad.
Suparn Verma is basically a sick leftist jerk who'll even sell his wife or mother to gain publicity and self gain. These sort of people are the filthy parasites of the society, who will live on the alms of taxpayer's money but will lick the asses of Islam. Let these people at least once write story or report on Aurangzeb being a homo or make a film on similar subject on Islamic character; they won't, for they know that they won't be alive after writing or filming such subject. Bhansali got only a mere slap, now onward any person making any derogatory remarks, write-up, film or for that an Art on Hindu Culture, Religion or anything to do with Hinduism should be summarily killed by hanging in public place.

Bollywood is not making documentaries. It is making fiction. Even if some stories are inspired from history or mythology there is an element of drama which is legitimate.
People who want to know history should read history books. In fact, no two historians agree completely on what transpired hundreds and thousand of years back. Even history is history books is not 100% accurate.
Of course, some nitwits who have a visceral hatred for anything North India or Hindi and who accuse North Indians of chauvinism should look within and understand the ugliness within themselves.
and Rani Padmini of Chittor would have been stunned out of their wits if they could have somehow visualized that many centuries into the future, a man and a woman, dressed up in heavy finery and plastered with loads of make up, would prance around speaking, gesturing, giggling and generally over emoting in hard labor to present their roles !
They would also have been stunned to see the general magnificence of the palaces in the Jaigarh fort (which were built more than 400 years after their death), a magnificence that was beyond the reach of artisans and masons of their time !
But then, historical accuracy is not seriously intended to be a strength of any movie that is touted to be depicting history !
And this is especially so for Indian movies, especially hyndi movies !
