I second you.Yes, Tamilnadu has given Rajinikanth a superstar identity for which he should always be thankful to people of Tamilnadu. But at the same time he should contribute something to the Marathi cinema as well and pay tributes to his mother tongue. The boon for Maharashtra is that Hindi film industry is in Mumbai which actually also became a bane for it because there are not many takers for Marathi films. During my childhood in the good old doordarshan days I used to watch many Marathi movies. In fact I learnt Marathi watching those films. I am Telugu guy and proud of my language but I also love Marathi. Marathi film industry has given us many fine actors like Nilu Phule, Ashok Sharaf, Shafi Inamdar, Nana Patekar, Laxmikant Berde, Sriram lagoo, Madhuri Dixit, Smita Patil and many more. Ashok Sharaf used to play villainous roles in Marathi cinema but mostly played character or comedian roles in Hindi cinema which never justified this immensely talented actor.
