to make what it regards is serious cinema, Bollywood ends up creating insipidly comic mish mashes, loud, garish and full of vapid posturings !!
The fault does not lie entirely with Bollywood film makers. After all, they have to dovetail their products for some acceptance by the hindi speaking people, generally one of the stuxpidest segments of humanity.
But when Bollywood makes what are referred to as commercial masalas, there are no holds barred anyway. They start, run and end insipid as well as loud and often downright embarassing, in full regard to the levels of appreciation their target audiences are capable of !
