Fully agree with the comments of the writer.May be other awards as rumored may have been awarded on personal loyalties,favouratism,nepotism ,manipulation with influence.But at least National awards are to be selected in all fairness from the best performances by actors as acclaimed by critics& public overall as pointed out by the author.Sometimes small actors also give excellent performances and the same is to be recognized and encouraged.

Realization of Akshaykumar/Aamir Khan in selecting character roles befitting their age is commendable and the other star heroes not only in Hindi,but also in south in 50s&60smay stop acting as youth dancing with Heroines of their daughters age .
I FEEL THE WRITER OF THIS CONTENT SURELY NEEDS A TREATMENT IN PAAGALKHANA OF AGRA ? WHY ? I was not surprised when he got this award which he was not suitable for, priyadarshan played a big role to get him that award as he directed him in several of his movies so obvious choice will be there
Past winners of National awards...Actor and Supporting Actor we can see there are multiple examples of them winning for 2 movies and not for a single performance. e.g. Mammooty in 89 and 93 for 2 movies each that yrs. and Paresh Rawal in 93. Why is Akshay singled out..he won for both Airlift and Rustom
