A lady of immense talent, stature, KA was devoted to her mother as is normally seen between a mother and child but reflected a deep sense of guru-sishya bhava. Have heard stories of Mogubai Kurdikar taking KA to task whenever she witnessed errors in the latter's singing or related issues. What a mother and daughter combination ... both illustrious
I wish there were honest, true and learned Hindustan vocal music judges,and we would have surely seen Kishori Amonkar appropriately appreciated by a Bharat Ratna many years ago.
I remember many of my presence in the audience listening to her performances. I still can not believe that she, in fact now reached the age of 84 years. She was excellent in tanas and alaps too.
A living legend of Indian classical music!!! Sad. Her contributions will remain live with us for ever. pray almighty to give peace to the departed soul.
