In any democratic country if you are not happy with your partner and your differences are irreversible then divorce is legal, peaceful and fair method to separate. Two options: either keep fighting, be unhappy and be together just for the sake of society Or you can mend your ways and give a finger to the society.

Possible ,but individuals happiness counts too isnt it?. Infact children can suffer lot more in bad marriage than living with divorced parents.

i think the record is still held by elizabeth taylor who married nine times, twice to the same richard burton. so, by her standards, this couple has a long way to go!
