We may criticise or the viewer may not like many aspects of the film, but the final thing is any movie doesn't bore you and gives something different and interesting to watch though you can't expect different stories every time. Additionally, atleast much of the movies released should be one where one can go and watch with the entire family. In that case atleast Malayalam movies are presented differently. What would ione say about Bollywood movies and its stars. Though Mohanlal and Mammootty's movies also doesn't guanrantee a good movie, atleast if its made by good directors and team, audience can atleast expect a nice entertainer. In that sense Oppam looks different. Atleast its touched upon the character of a blind person and not a super human being.
Film reviews carry a maximum of five stars usually. At least, that is so in Rediff. The reviewer has eulogized Oppam no end, praised the direction, performances, story and has generally suggested that this is an apt present for the Kerala audience for his Onam festival. Yet, why has the reviewer been a Shylock in giving just 2 stars and a wee bit more out of five? Good movies need appreciation. Else, why would one want to make one?

You said the dumbest thing ever. And mass degrading of Mohanlal films. Film got good review because it's a good film. Just because u don't like does not mean it's bad. Either u don't have a brain or u r a fan of another actor. And who know u actually saw it or not. Ur words reads like a frustrated degrader. The statement is also contrary to the real situation.
