From joyous festival of lights, sweets, social exchanges Diwali has turned to the festival of Noise, Pollution, death and disaster. Thanks to the negligence of Police. Several Orders of Supreme Court in ban in production of high decibel fire crackers are no where followed. Crackers that can cause serious risks to human life such as those Flying in air and exploding, tbose crackers losing its direction after firing, huge deafening noise that can permanently damage hearing all are anti human and nuisance to society. Pollution makes breathing sickness more. In cities already we breathe less oxygen n more monoxides and in Diwali by grace of those celebrating with fire crackers life is a real Hell and Diwali becomes Diwala. Many shops, hotels, roadside miscreants used middle of road divider to burn huge length firecrackers making high risk for traffic n jams. Why is police not strict with laws what ever may be the festive mood. Yesterday I walked on serious firecracker explosion on roadside put by some street children. Sumaira Abdulali worked hard to save the city from noise and pollution including loudspeakers from mosques but politicians are safe in their villas and police left people to live their way of celebrating festivals putting risks to lives of citizens. Only a tragic accidents can awaken the rule of law and it seems till then curbing noise and pollution will not be curbed.
