Pls watch DCH, ZNMD, Rock On, Wakup Sid, Lakshya etc... and then watch Dear Zindagi.
Do not waste your money on this film. Story base is ok but the way it is filmed you nowhere connect yourself to the story. as in most of Karan johar films you will see reference of gays, lesbo with no relation to story. shahrukh khan presence tries to save film but overall (including Alia) its a flop movie.
No professional so called film critic can survive without boot licking the main stream big budget production houses. It is well expected that any sort of movies by the big names are always mentioned as excellent. It is high time these so called movie critics find themselves a real job, rather than doing paid reviews.

True. You hit the nail on the head. This was more like Krishi Darshan. The only saving grace is Alia. ShahRukh maintains his style.
Kids and relatives of old film actors with no talent becoming stars and famous? While the talented actor who wants to be an actor ends up dancing at background or gets humiliating roles? When will the Indian film industry change?
It's very sad to see that the actors of today are the blood relation of actors from the old films. The talented people who want to be actors end up dancing at the background or get humiliating roles. At best, they become side actors or get chance in small films. In the old days, producers and directors used to fetch talents from streets and hand pick them. That's why you like watching old films because back then they knew what acting is all about. These kids of big directors or actors have no talent and have become so famous so easily? It's so sad. I think this why the world knows us for IITs only. There is also a monopoly of Khans in the Indian film industry. Why hasn't Bollywood made any sci-fi movies based on alien attack or war? It's always about love and romance. Maybe because in real life there is no love and romance? Just mindless materialism which tells us to get hooked up with the rich, isn't it? Do they think that the public are foolish fuckers who only like songs, dance and romance? Foreign films are so educational. What's happening to the Indian film industry?
