Manohar Rao
Manoj Kumar, a good pick for Phalke award
by Manohar Rao on Mar 13, 2016 09:49 PM

Many actors, directors, technicians come and go but very few are able to make a mark and leave his or her's unique screen identity. Raj Kapoor, Guru Dutt, Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Madhubala, Asha Parekh, Amitabh Bachan, NN Sippy, Kishor Kumar, Mohammad Rafi to name a few who bought revolutionary changes to Indian Cinema, Manoj Kumar is the one who introduced patriotism on screen which inspired many people, one must watch Purab and Paschim to understand what I am saying. A similar kind of scene is played in Namaste London by Akshay Kumar. If any idea has a repeat value then it is great.
Manoj Kumar is a true Patriot and everyone must salute him and respect him.

Drunkard Manoj Kumar - Nondeserving
by Inzy Bhai on Mar 08, 2016 11:21 AM

This man is nothing but a misogynist & drunkard. He is close to the ruling establishment & giving him the award reduces the preminenece of such a prestigious award. His movies had nothing except frothy nationalistic fervor with a high dose of titilation where he exposed his heroines to leering Indian male viewers. A shameless & worthless man & most undeserving of such an award.

He got Filmfare award as Best Actor for his role in Beimaan, and that too, in stiff competition with Rajesh Khanna's Dushman.
