Super Hit - What is that?
by Happy Soul on Jul 26, 2016 08:12 PM  | Hide replies

Can someone from rediff define, what is hit/super hit, A regional movie that makes 250 crore's is a flop, and an hindi(national language) movie that makes 200 crore's is a super hit, either you are dumb. Film making is business, Finally it is number's.

As for as some guy saying south/north, fair & dark, are the so called fair hero's fairer then tom cruise, tom hanks or decarpio or is rajini darker then denzel washington(hope you knows these so called hollywod guys).

I am an indian, either you are dumb to say north/south and fair/dark, chekc the facts abt salman khan, he started getting recognition from re-makes "Wanted", "Kick", why did these movies do well for him, bcoz of his fan's.

Personally i am not big fan of rajini, but don't even think about comparing with ranjini with any of bollywood's mass hero's. Let's talk when salman is 65 and let him a 250 crore colection on first day.

I will be waiting...

If you know about a topic/person, talk about it or else just move on...

Hindi is national language, i like to watch films with content

If it a regional movie from south and if i understand the language or if i am fan of some actor, i go to theater to watch the movie with some expectation.

Nothing surprising

Its not suprising that the apart from South and international centres, rest of India, Kabali will be a flop, firstly because the movie is dubbed, so the real impact of the movie is not experienced and secondly, Rajnikanth or for that matter any other South Indian actor however exceptionally talented they are or the movie is good, will never find fancy or liking by Bollywood audience because the Bollywood audience have the tendency to like fair and chocolate heroes having machoism. And when they have their own heroes in these mould doing everything what Rajni does in Kabali, why would they appreciate a Rajni movie or make it a hit. Its more of cultural difference where South is in one side and the rest of India is in another side. It has a lot to do with literacy, education, intellectual audience, social binding of South states as compared to rest of India. Anyway, this divide will remain. Atleast a Rajni dubbed film is making some money, else if a Salman, Shah Rukh or Amir movie is dubbed in South Indian language, it would not probably run for more than a day. All said, if audience can love senseless illogical Bollywood movies, the same audience cannot try to find story and logic in Rajni movie also.

Dude..a movie like Bahubali is a typical example that North Indians have accepted a dubbed South Indian movie. If the content is right, there is no stopping for any movie.
coming to the fair & dark complexions, Dhanush's Ranjhnaa was a hit, whereas the Tamil version - Ambikapathi (right!??) didnt do well in Tamil Nadu. Again, skin colour doesnt really matter if the content is good. Stop blaming.

The ignorant fellow who rate every film as Flop is really a loser. He should value market information above his prejudices.
