good review

Don't bother with the people putting up comments here. They are mostly proving that there is a difference between knowing how to read something and understanding what is written. Your article is good, and can be understood. However, as you can see from the comments, rediff might not be the best place to put it up. People clearly don't understand it. Maybe you should try writing for an audience that is more exposed to such writing.

A very pertinent point. Try some better sites to post this. Maybe Scroll or Upperstall or some better sites i don't know about.

Raja Sen in disguise?
by lakshmana murthy on Jul 06, 2016 03:00 PM  | Hide replies

After reading the first few sentences I was wondering what is the author trying to say. The language, the sentence formation and use of uncommon words almost led me to believe that it was Raja Sen using a pseudonym. Naah! This cannot be Raja Sen. He is in fact his saviour. No one will criticise Raja Sen any more - after all he has competition, The Competition will beat Raja Sen hollow on all counts. And worse his (assumed) ethnicity will only add to his being an easy target (Bong Vs Mallu and one knows who will win when there are more north Indian readers than South Indian readers).
Raja Sen can rest assured that his job is now secure. Not so for Mr. Nair.

He is a "liberal" who sees himself above the average Indian. Why would he bring himself down to your level by writing simple english

the writer just says i am not worthy of watching good hindi films. he can watch bogus rajini films where camera plays everything. he just doesn't know how to comment on good films.

If you don't like the article, or did not understand it, say that. Why are you revealing your absurd biases against south Indians here? I don't know about the writer, but judging from your petty comment I sure know that you will not understand a really good film, Hindi or otherwise.

Beats me! I was seriously having doubts about my capacity to comprehend the meaning. Good to know from the comments that I am not alone.

It’s a good thing that he has not endeavored to make a movie incorporating all his ideas. The producers would have gone bankrupt. Or who knows, maybe he would have won some critic’s award for such a film.
