I do not agree with you
by Malay Barua on Jan 22, 2016 02:07 PM  | Hide replies

As a citizen Amir has the right to tell his feeling about India, and as citizen I have also has right to tell amir that if he feels India is not safe for family say to good buy to India.
What Pee Cee had tweeted is correct, yes there are some people who do not understand the value of making a film or make every issue as a political issue. It is the real bad side of the democracy.

What a Shame

I think you do not have simple understanding of the logic given by Amitabh Kant. What he said and the fact is, Amir was a brand Ambassador of Incredible India while saying any thing negative about India - may or may not be directly. It is as simple as that you can not say anything negative on the product you are advertizing. Even veteran like Kuldeep Nayar also had said that Amir should not say such thing while he was still a brand Ambassador.
If he resigned before telling those lines purportedly told by her wife, hopefully there will not be so much of criticism.

Incredible India

What we need is an effective management of 15 odd Tourist offices India has overseas, and ironically majority of these offices has no Head and no direction. They should first fill up all these vacancies and allocate proper budget for promotional activities overseas. Indian Tourism can only grow when they allow the professionals in the Tourism Industry in India are given the support along with strengthening of the Overseas offices. Unless we attend to all these fundamentals of tourism business these brand ambassadors will be no help . This will end up as much ado for nothing.

Hype my Media
by Manian on Jan 22, 2016 01:24 PM

What she has said has absolutely nothing to do with India is intolerant. What she has said his few people are creating issues just before the release of the film. In every society there are rogue elements and good elements. If rogue elements are talked about the contextual sense needs to be seen and motives could not be created for every word linking India. This media should shop doing interpretation to create sensation. I recall that when some body abused Buddha he just smiled and left. His disciple was furious and asked him why you did not react. The answer was simple the abuse was not relevant to me and why I should get concerned and react. Only when react you are reaffirming that it is you. We should start ignoring such statement made and get on rather than making a headlines about it and demeaning the person who expressed his views. Let us try to respect views of critics also

Intolerant India
by vilas karande on Jan 22, 2016 01:12 PM

I Earnestly request all those who use this word "INTOLERANCE" regarding Indian society,to check history of communal riots in Independent India.
I move around a lot & I have not seen any signs of intolerance on the street. My friend circle has over 40% non Hindus no one speaks of any intolerance or fear.
Will the ENGLISH press do some soul searching please.
They have tried for over 10 years to malign BJP /MODI AND FAILED.Indian voters have proved them wrong. It is time they see the light & let the country progress & not indulge into cheap defamation stories.
