Full sympathies to pratyusha/anandi though easier to say foolish her act of suicide.A strong willed Anandi couldn't bear the shame n guilt that she offered her virginity to a cheater with wife n son who exploited her genuine love to his advantage.most of the live in relationships in film industry end in such tragedies only,due to mutual distrust in each other.JeediguntaGoa
A lot of TV/Film personalities,both men and women are committing suicide/attempting, these days.What could be the reason? Are they not able to handle success? Do they need counseling?
Actually this glamarous industry is not for everyone.. some days back Kangana Ranaout expressed her painful past when one abused her. In fact, we try to shine in this glamarous world, we hankers after name and fame. This ambition makes us Western minded and so we with eager ready to give up our Indian culture, its valuable principles, heritage and morality being moved by money and its glamour. We call ourselves modern while adopting western culture, dress up and mentality in every aspect for the cost of mere glamaour. It is a high social culture when we engage ourselves in an open affair with person before marriage ingoring or forgetting social customs and taboos because we always try to show ourselves that we are modern people, nothing to be mind everthing is ok with name and fame. East thus try to copy West. To do this we feel proud. Have we ever thought whether a few from West have ever tried to copy East. No never. It is because they are selfvalued and they respect their own culture and customs. But we the people of East fail to do the same thing because we underestimate our heritage our customs practically. In this regard I would like to refer the famous novel of Bankim Chandra, namely 'BABU', written in the late 18C. There he mocked so called Babu of calcutta, a limited class of calcutta, who used to practice western culture with glory and neglected our own culture. I love this novel and above all I love the ancient heretigeous culture of India, and I'll proclaim it.

May I know what is OUR culture?
An open affair before marriage was very much a part of our culture during the ancient times. The concept of Gandharva vivaha was there where one did not need the approval of the society or the customs to get married. So we were much more open than the west and that is our culture.
I agree that some people cannot hamdle fame, heartbreaks and set backs. But that can happen in a non glamourous so called "cultural" society also.
Don't others commit suicide?
This is a sad case, of course we need to see what is the problem in the society, but this is across the society, people are not happy and this has nothing to do with the western culture
So far I gather from the article, it is beyond comprehension that a young lady with so much judicious approach to life could do such a weak-kneed act. This reminds me of an affair of another Rahul (Mahajan).

Wrong reorganization of so called boyfriend in glamour world and puzzled about real life value taking hasty decisions without knowing the truth behind the attractive face leads to destructive life........
