Hrishida the great !
by Jayaprakash Balan on Aug 11, 2017 10:53 AM

Inspite of his movies not a big blockbusters like other films, Hrishida is one director who is to much respected than other film makers because all others followed the flow of trend and using the star charisma to make their movie a commercial hit, whereas Hrishida followed his own way of film making. He was such a talented and simple person that no star charisma could bow him. All his movies are gems so deeply rooted in life as well small nuances of life. Only a calibre of Hrishida could have made superstars of all generation be the character what he imagined shedding off their glamour and image. This is the real director than Bollywood needs, because more than anything else, cinema should depend only on story writer and director.....No Dilip Kumar, no Bachan or no Khans can ever be above the script and director.

Hrishi da was the real film maker
by Jayaprakash Balan on Sep 30, 2015 02:11 PM

Though his films might not have earned more money or success, it is only thro' the movies of Hrishi da that one learns cinema and feels like respecting Hindi movies. He was a director way ahead than all the other successful directors. His hero was the story, script and he himself not any superstars or actors. Though all the superstars would have many films to their credit, the movies they did with Hrishi da should be standing tall. How we miss such gem of directors like Hrishi da today who used to show us life of a real person and that too in the most positive way that one would love and want to live this life.

is the Book on Hrishi da or Amitabh?
by Raj Gopal on Sep 30, 2015 01:34 PM

The author seems to be writing more on Amitabh then Hrishi-da as it appears from the glimpses presented in the article.

But I agree on one view. Hrishi-da DE-glamorized the STARS he worked with and presented them in a way where their acting abilities (not glamore) are shown to the fullest.
