Mohanlal is justified in his sorrow over the food that we waste. Waste is happening all around us, supermarkets are the biggest culprits of an artificial shortage of edibles. The BBC film on waste, "Hugh's War on Waste" is a must see for the reality happening behind our backs. Such empathy from the likes of influential persons is much needed!

The issue of subsidies is misplaced, all across the EU and the US, Govts. subsidize agriculture to as high as 100%. Govts have to intervene in areas of food and energy, all cannot be left for the markets to decide.
