No,I haven't seen the film you reviewed. But there are a few films, both mainstream and avant garde that deserve attention. Mehboob Khan's Aurat and Mother India are both women centered, though not women-centric . In the non mainstream category I would think of Kahani as a powerful film that makes women central. But in recent times, Sonali Bose's Amu and the most recent Margarita with a Straw are undoubtedly near classics particularly the last one. This is the first Indian film (after Fire) about a lesbian autistic woman trying to grow into a realization of her potentialities. The film will not be widely discussed because it's explicit sexual content, but it makes a unique statement both about a disabled woman's fight to create a space for herself and about the need for self- fulfillment in an autistic character.

shixt as a taboo topic for more than a 100 years ?

That is a very big irony!

For, it is the hindi people who are open defecation kings of not only India, but of the entire world !

Human excreta lying on the streets and in other public places and people defecating in the open can nowhere else in the world be seen with remotely as much regularity as in the Hindi speaking areas of the country !

And Hindi actresses do not farxt or never have bouts of foul breath ?

If Hindi film makers - more than film makers in other languages - take extreme care to let common Hindi cine goers think that Hindi actresses never are *soiled* by such afflictions, it only points to the fact that those common Hindi cine goers are much more stupxid than cine goers from other parts of India !
