Why Haider ? Why not Kashyap Rishi ?
by anil Kumar on Mar 26, 2015 08:33 PM

Vishal Bhardwaj wants to please the Muslim Community because they throw out the Kashmiri Pandits from their homeland. Directors always want to see success and not the values.
Haider is not a fiction my fellow friend ? It has happened with Kashmiri Pandits? who else can understand the pain of the people who were always peace loving people but who choose the gun culture were being honoured.. SHAME SHAME

Anupam Kher is talking rubbish

The film is a work of fiction. It's an adaptation of Hamlet. It's not a movie about Kashmiri Pandits or for that matter about Kashmir. Kashmir is just a backdrop for the movie. Anupam Kher should be able to distinguish a work of fiction from reality.

Some Indians think that it is the duty of all Indians to always portray India in good light. Indian army can do no wrong. If a movie shows Indian army atrocities then it is incumbent of the director to also show atrocities against Pandits. Nonsense.

How can the film be a work of fiction when the entire film is based on events/issues in the Kashmir valley of the 1990s?
If he wanted to fictionalize the film,he should have named the place something else and not involved India/pakistan/Azaadi etc. in his film..How is that related to hamlet?have you even read hamlet?Do you know what hamlet is even about?
Just because you portray certain characters acting in consort with Hamlet's characters, doesnt make it a well made Hamlet adaptation.
Just to underscore his allegiance to hamlet,Bharadwaj ends up treating his characters as puppets and drives the movie in a certain way to realize Hamlet's 3rd act.
Bharadwaj has actually chronicled the period and even puts up labels about the Army in the movie. If you missed it,you probably missed the movie.
As far as army is concerned, how do you expect army to treat with terrorists??
