Thanks for conveying the moment of pride

It is really a matter of pride, that you happened to have spent few moments with the grand old star of India's enetertainment industry. It is heartening in the sense, that at least few Indians are there who value Indian superstars a tad more than the strugglers in Hollywood. If someone can respect his own countrymen, he can respect people of worth, who belong to other countries as well. A Shyam Benegal is no less great than a Michaelengelo Antinioni. Our own valuable films are ignored in our own country unless these bring laurels from foreign film festivals. Now, coming back to Big B, let us see what are his contributions to Indian society as a whole? He stood in an election and won it and enjoyed the membership of Parliament for five years. His wife , Jaya Bachchan is an Indian Law-maker for more than a decade. Have we ever asked where are their contributions ? We are always for our own countrymen but should bot be swayed by the glamour quitient. Otside the celluloid world, they are nothing. And if we respect him purely as an cine actor, the sentiment is fine. All over the world, cine stars enjoy special privileges .
