Pixels is a film that I went in with pretty high expectations based on the concept. The trailer was also great. But Chris Columbus screenplay is all over the place. His Jumanji was terrific though. The acting was terrible all over the board expect for an amazing performance from Michelle Monaghan. The dialogues were ordinary and the jokes were not good either. There were sudden tonal shifts from romance to comedy to drama to action. The first 30 minutes or so was pretty ordinary and the movie picked up after that. The story of this film deserved a better intense kind of screenplay which was missing. The special effects were decent especially PAC MAN and Donkey Kong. The romantic moments involving Adam and Michelle were touching and the scenes involving q'bert was cool. Josh Gad was ok in the comic sequences. The logical aspect was not too good like how Sam Brenner defeats the Pac-Man etc. Questions like how and why have no place in this film. It is like a masala film. For some endearing moments I can give it 55/100.
Please stop sending a young lady to critique movies that are meant mainly for guys who grew up in the 80's and the 90's. A 30-35 year old guy would be far more familiar with the socio- cultural and technological references in the movie then her.

Rightly said so.I am a huge fan of retro games and till date i play those games. Only person who grew up in 80's and 90's can understand.
