i am once again surprised to hear the interview that how mr.mani seems to be like a gentleman, is not admitting the past people who helped him to become a leading director...particularly illayarajas music was venurable in agni,nayagan and thalapathi..when karthik jog inside the college a BGM which shakes our mind and heart which no musician in india has conducted..such a feel....but its ashame to hear the way he behaves in the past ...
i wonder is mani ratnam suffering from amnesia,i have to recollect the past history, in the year 1985 he started as a raw director in the film pagalnilavu and the total back ground of illyaraja,then the mass hits where mounaragam, agninatchatram, idayatahi thirudathu,anjali, nayagan(block buster) and thalapathy,these where the films elevated him to big level as a big director mainly bcos of the music of maestro,after going to the peak he associated with rehman and did all bullshit..ashame to say the way th is raw director and rehman made use of the peoples mind and enjoying....mr.Mani pl turn around and see your past 30 yrs back...
All of a sudden article about Maniratnam who is into making continous flops and one or two average movies. Rediff journalism is all about tom-tomming about less talented Tamilians and Malayalis and ignoring the rest of the world.
