we in India have well defined family system and kids are brought up nicely with proper culture and background.Family have lot of cushioning and protect kids. But unlike in US where kids have to go though parents divorce etc.they can go into any side track and system is not designed to protect them.

Not true anymore. India today has embraced the western culture. There are many community/ society based protective features in the western world not available to the age old family based support system with it's archaic beliefs, invalid in current day scenario.
