i think rehman is a good composer but nadeem-shravan or anand milind, jatin lalit are better than him. they gave us the songs which are melodious and easy to sing & listen.

Absolutyely right i was going to comment on nadeem shravan ji just as i saw this comment.The music of nadem shraven ji are far superior to ar rahman still where ever you go north south east or west nadeem shravan music rules.

AR Rahman has done some excellent composition but nothing has been spelt out. He has been doing music over 25 years, almost two generation gone.Due to fatigue, naturally the taste of people would have been changed among new generation. There are lot of people still love old songs composed during 60s - Tastes of different generation are not comparable
in his earlier years in tamil film he was very dedicated and worked hard to exibhit his talents. non tamil population is not exposed to the masterpeices he created in tamil films Films like duet-gentleman-minasara kanavu-kandukonden kandukonden-mudhalvan and ofcousre his personal masterpiece which he himself admitted 'Sangamam' but now now rahman has reached the peak of glory. whatever he churns out is accepted as music.hoarse sounds are classified as music. he no longer has the compulsion to be dedicated or to show case and prove his talents. his music is no longer enjoyable a sad transformation
