Dear Raja Sen.i am a huge fan of you. Before watching any movie, I first look into your review. When u rate less than 2/2.5 I get quit convinced that the movie is good. I watched Shamitabh today and it's awesome. Waiting for ur future views.

true amitabh bacchan is a pleasure to watch ...but its not enough for making the film work....it was soo very boring that coudn't wait for the movie to end.dhanush is no hero...
I have just returned after watching the Matinee show and I must say, this review is misleading. I wonder why cant rediff appreciate a different story that is quite relevant in almost sphere, why the acting version only. Quite many a times, we all face clashes of egos - at work, at home, on the road... everywhere.
Anyways, Let me not get into it. My opinion is - if you are a BigB fan or even a Fan of Dhanush, this is a must watch movie coz both the actors have delivered top notch performances and it is really amazing to see the duo together on the big screen. And yes, being BigB's Fan (on the higher side), there is no one else in Bollywood today who can pull off his role in the movie with such ease and conviction.

Your comments are correct. The review is poor. The movie is v.gud or atleast gud and deserves a rating of 3.5 stars or atleast 3 stars. This is a movie we can definitely watch with our family.

One of the finest movies to watch with Family. Really enjoyed it. A different Story and excellent acting by both AB & Danush.

RIGHT paul sir as BIG G has made money in initial days in 1970=1980 purchase flats in south Mumbai in very cheap rates today if we calculate his real estate values worth some million dollars but he is not paying correct income tax exploiting GANDHI family friendship MP in 1984 wave so he must be behind bars for tax thefts right from 1980s
I found the movie quite entertaining. I dont understand why reviewers are giving it such a bad rating. Both the actors gave good performances and the movie was different from the usual.

ab is mad he must donate as he got much more than he deserves say PALAVA he is unnecessarily fooling people to buy flats when cost if too high people will blame him also
A movie which starts with a promise, becomes jammed in the middle part and struggles to have a smooth ending speaks of very mediocre script writing. What can the Director do when the story is so lop sided. Amitabh performs magnificiently,his baritone resonates his dialogues and a song which bears his voice.Danush did his best but was vanquished through the mere presence of Bacchan.Akshara was a fresh face,who tried very hard to put up a good show,but,needs more experience to make a mark.The movie had an abrupt ending,a poor conclusion if I may say so.Balki's luck failed this time.The songs are good-Ilyaraja has done a wonderful job;there are some very good foot tapping numbers which keeps you awake.Amitabh's song "Piddly "has been sung very well.
why can't this fellow just sit back and enjoy the laurels he has, deservingly or deservingly, accumulated. He is becoming to look like a desperate flop.
