Indian adults are immature
by crazedcat on Feb 04, 2015 05:50 PM  | Hide replies

If you want proof, just go through any rediff message board. The silliest are the chaddi party fans. They keep using culture as excuse to censor, but if they had learnt some real history instead of reading dinanath batra's nonsense, they'd realize their censor happy version of Indian culture is full of 19th century Victorian customs rather than ancient Indian customs.

You are best described in your own language - MC & BC. If your upbringing has anything to do with your this bizarre idea, pl visit your parents and ask why you were brought up like that

well said. If they're to bring such environment as they wish, why don't they first make the supportive actors act the jokes on screen without any inhibition. That'll make them same class as Sunny Leone. Anyways, open exhibition of pornographic movies are illegal and that should remain a private.
Why don't guys wishing a change of our culture and so much desirable for free opinion divert their focus to eradicate the Naxal, Maoist problems etc. in interior of India or to make all the destitute flash smile?

Same question to you too: Why don't you guys taking so much offense at irrelevant things, wishing so much censorship of every small thing and wasting time filing frivolous court cases or writing comments divert YOUR focus to eradicate the Naxal, Maoist problems, etc in interior of India or to make all the destitute flash smile? Let me also add the caste problem. How come you guys are not focussing on the intense casteism practised in just about every state, including rural Maharashtra?

Good point, crazedcat.

If you dislike AIB, you have all the right to say that in India. You have all the right to start a campaign asking people not to watch anything of AIB. But you cannot ask for them to be shut up forcibly.

Stop this hypocrisy fellow Indians

Firstly, all those guardians of our "great Indian culture"... can we please define WHAT Indian culture really stands for?
I am a 50-year old very dignified and educated and decent woman (I can produce a certificate for those interested :-))... and out of curiosity about the loud noises made against this show, I watched it on Youtube last nite. Believe me, I was neither shocked nor scandalised... Firstly, the show was not even funny, it was very basic and juvenile humor. It showed that these were nothing more than of a bunch of "16-17 year olds" who learn a few profane words and think it "cool" to mouth these in a public show... the entire show was geared to show "how modern and cool we are".
It was hardly a roast, repeatedly making fun of somebody's skin color or that Arjun Kapoor failed Std XII exams, hardly makes it vulgar and not even remotely funny... the show in fact was rather boring after the initial 15 minutes, because each panelist was repeating stuff.

But yes, I do find highly vulgar the comments made by the Censor Board Member, Pandit, because this was a deliberate attempt and was made in full seriousness! While the show was made in "humour"... but then we Indians never had any humour to begin with... not even the self-proclaimed King of Comedy... BTW, just who is Pandit? Never heard of any of his films?

Good point, Sandhya. And ignore the people making personal comments. They make up the bottom of the pyramid, and thus do a great social service - they make everyone else look really evolved just for not making personal comments.

Yes, Yes, why only home. Sunny Leone should not be alone here. All the actors should openly act the said jokes without any inhibition and we'll have much more laughter and we'll not have any objection to see them roasted like that.

Please it is humor and take it lightly, a lot of us have spoken this language in college and may youngsters use the cuss words. Take it with a chill pill, enjoy it and if you don't then you always have an option to skip it.
As adults we have the right to decide our good and bad unless we are not physically or mentally harming anyone, and I don't see that happening at AIB Knockout.

No way...tomorrow you will pass jokes on a woman' assets, then trivialize rape, murder etc. saying all are said in jokes. How do you pass opinion that what is a laugh for you is also good for all outside?
