Amjad Khan is the best ever actor in \"sholay\".No wonder why the people say so.

hera is the best character who organised function for gabbar and jallal aaga perform mehbooba mehbooba with hillen(classic cabre dancer) of bollywood.

Many people say that Zanjeer or Deewar or any

other as Amitabh's best performance.

But I would rate this, as his one of the best

performance, if not the best performance.

He completely overshadowed Dharmendra with his

ONE LINER dialogues, his mystique and sense of

humour with Mausi, Basanti,

His serious yet deep love for Jaya which he

only represented with eyes and through that

unforgettable melody which he plays with mouth

organ, his unmatched friendship with Viru, His

adventurous and fearless initiatives during

fight with Gabbar during Holi, in train and in

Climax, His style of tossing the coin, his

scenes with Jailor and Surma Bhopali all

these were quite extra-ordinary.

Only the actor of the calibre of Mr. Bacchan

could have done that with such an ease and it

looked effortless, so natural.

It was an all round performance by Mr.

Bachchan in one film Serious, Comedy, Action,

Love, Friendship, Adventure, Humour all these

different characters of acting was portrayed

by him outstandingly.

That's why I think this was perhaps Mr.

Bachchan's best performance and after watching

him in Sholay the respect for him as an actor

increased manifolds and I became his great fan.

i am yet to see someone act like Amjad did as gabbar in sholay even after 40 years. unlikely to see someone else not even Amjad khan himself even if were to come back alive
