I see a lot of nonsense in this article of Nair. What is meant by being, "prudish"? "Not having values like people in the West"? Why should movies not tell their audience what is wholesome personal and social behavior and what is bad for the individual and for society? Why should personal "fetish" and "perversion" be elevated to cinematic "art"? These are the things that should receive serious thought.

I think he is talking about fake sens eof moral superiority and hypcrisy which most Indians display... just as you are doing right now
