Both the films belong to different genre. So the comparison is unpalatable.Bang Bang as the title and bang on promos suggest is out and out masala entertainer with a cocktail of zingy music, brilliant locations, dances ,chases and so on. It has a mass appeal. On the other hand, Bhardwaj films cater to niche and classy audience. The music has failed to pamper the music lovers.Gulzar lyrics go above the head. Haider has hardly any chance at the cash counters.
I love Shahid and I love VB, but Bang Bang will make more money in two or three days that Haider will in a lifetime. It's a shame that the indian media still doesn't understand that you cannot compare two films that are meant for different markets and that boxoffice is not the only important consideration. Also it will be nice if the article makes sense. If Siddharth Anand's last was no blast, neither were VB's last two!!! Even if Knight and Day was not agreat film, it's worldwide gross was 260 million, probably 10 times more than the last Hamlet remake. Please do some thinking before writing instead of just meeting deadlines.
