Since the days of VHS cassettes back in the 1980s, I have watched Ghulami a total of 271 times on various media formats (VHS, cinema, Doordarshan, cable channels, VCDs & DVD). Second is Kaala Patthar, with a total of 219 times.

Dear its not about money but about total viewership. In 1995 I watched HAHK by paying Rs 20 for a balcony ticket in Bathinda Punjab. What is the rate now? Now a days 100 crore movies run for 2 weeks only by playing 8-9 shows perday in multiplex with high ticket rates
Half the choices in this are either biased or laughable.Without mentioning Hum Aapke Hain Koun the list is trash. Who remembers Mere Apne or Eshwar.Amar Akbar Anthony,Mugle Azam, Namak Halal,Lawaris, Sharaabi, Aankhen(Govinda) are other most watched movies
Its surprising as I had watched DDLJ at least 75 times on screen and uncounted on TV.Aroud 150 times. Also Swades which I visited at least 20 times in theatre.
