has yet attempted to portray an autistic as the main protagonist in a film!

Cerebral palsy and learning disability and mental retardation may all be difficult to portray and emote but autism is several times more so.

Autism is a silent but comprehensively life changing disability that has been sweeping the world in an ever increaingly powerful wave since the 1990s.

To effectively portray a profound autistic in a movie with sensitivity and warmth would need consummate skill on the part of the film maker.

It may well be impossible to portray Autism effectively. As you rightly mentioned, its a silent and oppressive disability and one that perplexes the disabled as much as all those around the person. Many of these autistic children are so gifted that it is amazing to see them flower if nurtured properly but alas all across the world, identification and treatment is still ages behind an effective catch up
