Arjun is a classic. The Tamil remake of Arjun, 'Sathya' by Kamal Haasan was equally good. Most people do not know it was a remake. It is still considered one of Kamal's best action movies.
What makes a movie a ‘classic’? Is it because some obscure businessman from Lucknow watched it ‘half a dozen times’ when he was 17? Or is it because the author thinks ‘No antakshri session, group singing at school picnics or hangouts with colony friends was complete’ without some song from the movie?
Can someone explain WHAT makes a movie a ‘classic’??

By my reckoning classics were movies like Mother India and Mughal-E-Azam, and other similar great presentations….But Arjun? Not all good movies can be termed classics.

If you watch is after 30years and it doesn't feel outdated, it is a classic. I think Arjun meets that criteria.
