I appreciate the creative approach in this film, focussing on wildlife and predators, instead of the usual boy meets girl, filmy song and dance nonsense we are utterly fed up of.
For this novel approach itself, the film should deserve a three and half star at least.
Roar is a great effort by a debutant Director Kamal Sadanah. I agree there are many loop holes in the script. But I really enjoyed the cinematography, the Background score was excellent and special effects were superb. The second half is good, the climax shots are excellent. If you enjoy movies based on wild animals you definitely should watch Roar for it's cinematography, special affects and background score and above all the Sunderbans
At least it's better than HNY or BB type worthless movie. It's a nice effort, though lacking in direction or acting, but capturing sunderbans on various camera angles will make you feel that it could have been a nice adventure movie. Anyhow, an honest try - and we can afford to go cinema halls to watch this one rather wasting your time on HNY (though I have not seen HNY or BB).
for the first time, i thoroughly enjoyed a movie review on rediff.. but plz even if the movie is bad, dont explain the whole storyline in the review.. i havent seen this movie but i now know whats it all about..
