I don't think AR Rahman needs any further confirmation from any institution, but encouraging artists is always good for their creative talents. Congratulations.

Yes, quite a few are. I don't think AR Rahman is a copy cat. At least if he was, he wouldn't be honored by Berklee School of Music (which is a Harvard for Music schools).
