Although it’s normal for films to drop numbers at the box office in the second week, in the case of Happy New Year, that let down is happening in the first week itself, and while it’s a certified hit by any standards, higher aspirations like breaking Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3’s record which had grossed over Rs. 500 crores, is a no contest or for that matter even beating the record of Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang which is sitting pretty with more than Rs. 300 crores.
Movies like HAPPY NEW YEAR, BANG BANG, KICK, CHENNAI EXPRESS, JAI HO, BODY GAURD, DHOOM 3, all movies of ROHIT SHETTY, SAJID KHAN, FARAH KHAN etc.... proves one point that in BOLLYWOOD the TALENT doesnt matter anymore. Orelse movies like FILMISTAN, HAIDER, CITYLIGHT etc should have been BLOCKBUSTER.

Those senseless movies are giving crores of rupees to your govt in the name of entertainment tax. u should ask govt to revert back those money as a part of your protest.
The only media which is reporting Haider as Flop !!! Please do a reality check, film made with a budget of only 30 Crores and collected 59 crores domestic and 15 crores overseas. With which logic the same is termed as Flop ???
Haider and Khoobsurat are both Plus..not a Flop. Our typical indian audience make Happy new Year, Kick kind of movies a big hit..but these movies makes moolah bcz of khans..not bcz they are great movies.Best movies of the year were Filmistan, citylights and Haider which didnt make good business..but were the best..
