Big deal fanboy..!! There are scores of great music directors who are as good as RDB. Madan Mohan, OP Nayyar, Naushad, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Shankar Jaikishan, Kalyanji Anandji, Salil Choudary, Ravindra Jain, etc.

& SD Burman. One of his greatest achievements is Pyaasa. The true fact 'bout this album is when SD read the lyrics (written by Sahir Ludhianwi), he instantly said he would compose soft tunes to match the poetic texture of Sahir's lyrics & never could kill it by western tunes. & true to his word, he did. The result is for all to hear. Pyaasa is one of the all-time best albums. Such lyricists, such composers!!! Compare them with today's crass, business minded music company - musician brackets.....

gretest of them all, madan mohan admired by all other composers. RD was a copycat who stole tunes and even preludeds/interludes from western hits.

RDB was not cheat .Once in 100 years such people are born .may be some his disco numbers are copied or inspired ..But he has dones tones of classical and semi classical Amar pream and all ...Amazing guy Just becuse SD was his father SD in still on TOP.Both of them where Equally good

RD Burman was a music cheat. An overarted music director who had flops after flops till no one gave him any work.

India was blessed to have great Music Directors, lyricists and singers both male and female. Rafi Saab was the greatest amongst all singers with his heavenly voice and was responsible for the success of many music directors.
