The Gandhi's idea of making salt in 1919 was not making all the salt that India needs, but saying that as Indians we have right to make our salt.
similarly, the idea is to create awareness in people that they need to clean the environment around them. No one else is going to clean it for them - they have to do it for themselves.

These people can't clean w/o photographers. See in the pic where in Prasun is supposedly cleaning, the guy in blue shorts is actualy cleaning and Prasun is holding the broom like a batsman :(
Why can't they sweep at places where there are no photographers...if the intention is clear, place will be clean...but if the intention is publicity, then cameras will have more garbage than dust bins.
