On America, Lee Kuan Yew likes the free and open argument about what is good or bad for society, and none of the secrecy and .itteerror that's part of communist government. He also sees the focus on individual freedom as creating its leadership in innovation. Other parts are totally unacceptable - guns, drugs, violent crime, vagrancy, unbecoming behavior in public, symptoms of the breakdown of civil society. Freedom to have maximum enjoyment of one's freedoms can only exist in an ordered state - not contention and anarchy.

America has a vicious drug problem. To solve it, it goes around the world helping other anti-narcotic agencies try and stop the suppliers. And when provoked, its captures the president of Panama and puts him on trial. In Singapore, any policeman who sees someone behaving suspiciously leading him to suspect the person is under the influence of drugs can require that person to have his urine tested. If it contains drugs, the man immediately goes for treatment. Unmentioned by Lee is the added fact that Singapore executes drug dealers. (Singapore also has one of the lowest crime rates in the world - chewing gum is banned because of the messes created.)

If we did not have the good points of the West to guide us, we wouldn't have gotten out of our backwardness. But we don't want all of the West. Lee also says he admired America more 25 years ago. Liberal, intellectual thinking after WWII supported everyone being allowed to do their own thing. There is such a thing as evil, and it is not the result of being a victim of society. Westerners have abandoned an ethical basis for society, believing that all problems are solvable by a good government - we in the East never believed that. He's concerned about the focus on individual rights, not paired with individual responsibility, in America, that sociologists have convinced Americans that failure isn't their fault but that of the economic system, that charity has become an entitlement without any stigma, and the growth of entitle costs creating huge debts for future generations.

America treats all religions the same so mohameddan don't have separate Shariaa Law like they have in India...educated people like you should start a movement to force Indian government to enforce Uniform Civil Code...also in no secular country do they give Haj Subsidy...you should write to Modi sarkar to stop the special treatment for Mu$lims..also, in America, they don't have job or educational reservations just because you are a Mu$lim...Unlike in India where due to vote-bank politics, such things are done that is causing resentment among the rest...why should one community get special treatment? That is unfair to majority of people in India!

I am an average India living an average Indian life. I had to go out of India for study. I never faced discrimination based on my religion. For two things, white race look at me more for Indian than Muslim. It is just that white people culture is such that they don't integrate other culture as well as they should have done. America is one of the only countries where their free media run down people based on communities.

It is only in India I feel most discriminated. It took me a long time to understand hypocrisy of Indian people. When you greet stranger, first thing they ask is surname. The discrimination here is not only religion wise, but caste and region wise. Until 2000 it was still fine, after 2005 something it became worse, where at one side American MNC is following meritocracy and integrating all communities in jobs, workforce and one side majority community is isolating and look at us with suspicion.

Out of all the states in India, surprisingly Maharashtra, Gujrat, Rajasthan and MP have highest discrimination against minorities like us. Mumbai is worst where people like us are getting marginalized and are looked upon with suspicion

One country which had big hand in spoiling muslim name is USA.In a diverse and religious society like India, where there are large section of people uneducated, media should not have been given such freedom to publish or discuss sensitive topics in public. It end up create racial rife. Media in India is not accountable or monitored that makes it very dangerous for social harmony. Surprisingly in other free democracies, there is open media but they are held accountable for their content and action. A wrong news of defamation can result in shutting down their media houses. In India is opposite, and we see today's social disharmony in india

India is the only country where Muslims live with pride & dignity. Even in Pakistan they cannot live with such pride & dignity. People like Samir are a shame on Islam. Jai Hind...

Saif is a person with realistic ideas who is sharing his true views on social platform. His outlook towards Islamic beliefs and common civil code is worth appreciating. such people are real heroes; not only on the silver screen but also in the realistic world where ethical values are going down very fast.
