Interesting that you conveniently ignored the list of South Indian starlets who became leading ladies in Bollywood.
You can add Wahida Rehman, Vidya Balan, Asin to that list.
As to your comment about 'at least the cars are glamorous down south'...here is what else is glamorous down south:
The fact that South is not as hopeless a rapistan as north.
The fact that South India does not disgrace India with such statistics, as stated by UNDP's annual human development report: 'Over 300 million people living in 8 mainly Hindi speaking states of north india live in worse levels of poverty, illiteracy and backwardness, than all the people in Sub Saharan Africa'.
The same report states that when it comes to Human Development Report, the south Indian states rank consistently at the top. In fact, Kerala which tops Indian states in HDI, when stacked against developed nations, ranks THIRD in the world. Only Australia and Norway rank above Kerala's Human Development statistics. Kerala ranks alongside Holland at the third position.
In the list of prosperous states release by Govt of India, two months ago, of the top five, 3 are from south. Of the four south indian states 3 are in the top 5, with Kerala on Top.
Ever wondered why gas cylinders don't burst killing brides in the south?
I know how glamorous north india towns cities and villages are with people answering natures call on the streets. 70% homes in North do not have toilets, per HRD ministry. Yes, very glamorous indeed!
