Anyone please don't get mislead by this review. Go and watch the film. You will understand what I'm saying. Madhuri has done a fantastic job as Rajjo. Her acting, the way she emotes, her expressions are all superb though her accent is not completely matching the local dialect of that region. She has even danced and done all the action sequences herself. She should get award for this role.
This movie had great potential but has been let down by poor direction: 1. Madhuri should have been shown without make up 2. Songs and dances had no place in this. Also, after a serious situation, Madhuri and her gang suddenly break out into a dance. Completely senseless direction! 3. Dialogues, especially Madhuri's lacked the punch. In comparison, Mrityudand, in which Madhuri plays a somewhat similar character had brilliant dialogues.
Luckily, Juhi's role was brought out very well (mercifully, she was not made to sing and dance). Madhuri has been brought down because of poor direction and bland dialogues.
Madhuri Dixit is the most overrated actress of the century. She survived because of her looks and probably dancing. Now when she is expected to perform , she flops

Not at all...Give her a killer script...She definitely weaves magic...She was just brilliant in Dedh Ishqiya... She made feministic movies(which are difficult to sit through - Mrityudand and Lajja) tolerable and thats not a mean achievement.
Let us not criticise, since the film belongs to women. If men actor can fight, why not women actor? If the same film would have some leading male actor everybody would tell, WoW what a super film. Anyway, women should be levelled equally like men. Women actor are only shown as playing second fiddle to men.
There is a court case filed by Sampat Devi against the producers after which the court ordered that the film cannot make any reference to her. A reviewer is supposed to know his facts instead of misguiding the readers.

court case has been file for the exact same reason that after picturing full of her life she has not been given any due credit and haven't asked or approached by film teams.

"Ignoring her (Sampat Devi), if I may say so, smirks of arrogance and is in bad taste."
Bingo. Not cool to have ignored her. This woman put her life and soul into women's rights and to take that away from her, just like that, is plain wrong.
That is horrible. He should have given the due credit.
