If you look at his photos from earlier movies and the latest ones, you can find that easily. He owes his success to his father being a dirctor who launched him with other leading heroes. Then he got success because majority of tamilians want their heroes to be dark and below average looking, while they want their heroines to be fair and beautiful. Otherwise Vijay would be nothing, just a good dancer that is all.
to improve his looks. He is non talented who gopt promoted by his father and got his success only because his skin is black ( Tamilians prefer their film heroes to be dark and ugly and want their heroines to be fair & beautiful) .

i mean majority of tamilians want their heroes to be dark and below average looking, while they want their heroines to be fair and beautiful. Earlier they wanted heroines with big curves. Now they prefer less fat women.

out of 7 films listed here 5 are remakes.he can be called as remake raja.yes he is a good dancer. but stereotypical. not experimenting .he looks same in all movies

if rajini is non-talented and bad looking, then why dont you come and act. Since you are so handsome and definitely more talented than Rajini, maybe you can make it better in movies.
Vijay has wide ranging talent- great dancer, above average singer, good stunts/fighting skills and next door boy looks. He started terribly then got into a groove with K Mariyadia, Friends, and then Gilli was followed by some real duds until Thupakki came along. Thuppaki role was challenging but Vijay does a superb job. He needs to be selective and avoid mindless plots. He is capable of much more if he can avoid entirely masala movies. Even in Thalaiva the story had nothing the second half, but Vijay's dancing skills and ability to switch between posh surroundings and very rustic settings somehow kept the movie afloat. Good luck Vijay. You are Surya are truly destined for glory. Keep going

Vijay can't do a Kasi, sethu,Nanda, Perazhagan and Pithamagan. A stereotype entertainer.
