When you circulate fairly good pirated copies of this movie online, how can you expect a good opening? All the people offended by this movie are watching it's pirated copy. They like it but they want to make it flop.
You could ve mentioned avg opening for Holiday in it's first Friday, since then film sustaining well. and, as per box office reports from various trade analysts, suggest that this film must be the biggest grossier of 2014 till today.

Film can touch 100 cr nett lifetime if film holds up well over 2nd weekend. In overseas too, film scored big 12 cr plus in 5 days and is heading for 18-20 cr lifetime finish.
For me this is a Block buster the only thing that may have not favoured is its released timing...its so hot all over India people just dont wanted to go with full family....But lowly and surely people getting crazy about the movie and you will see 2nd week will have even better collection.... Please go all and watch this movie if realy want to enjoy a master class !

maybe rediff box office analyst did nt get paid from vipul shah. rediff needs to grow up. film is doing exceptionally well and might be the best akshay earner in many areas, according to BOi. so why is rediff doing this propoganda? this film is way better than D3 or CE.

Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty" has crossed the ₹50 crore mark in India.The film, held up well on Tuesday at the domestic box office. It accumulated ₹7.03 crore on Tuesday, taking its overall total to ₹56.37 crore.The film is expected to gross more than ₹100 crore by the end of the second week.
"'Holiday' has to be the biggest film to have released in the new financial year. It did good business over the weekend and it should easily be able to join the Rs 100 crore club. so it is flopped only in KHunder's dream

OK. maybe my comments were harsh. but what about these so called AK fans who only abuse others all the time?? i can also see that rediff is biased. but that is life. get over it.
When you make an intelligent masala film like Holiday, it doesn't do as well. But when you make mindless masalas like Chennai Express/Dabaang, etc, they make huge money. Why? Have our tastes gone so bad?

yeah, check boxofficeindia and you will get to know what's going on in trade...the way the film holds in weekdays, the way WOM worked and now it's on it's way to be declared as a hit very soon. Ask the experts if you can't understand the trade language.
