I do not know why these journalists keeping saying Amitabh dethroned Rajesh Khanna, Kaka was the highest paid star till the early eighties and was quite successful even during Amitabh's reign during the 80s . In fact Kaka was the only star who has given maximum number of solo hits among his contemporaries. His roles were a mixed of both commercial and meaningful unlike Amitabh's who only did masala movies during his stardom except a few ones which were flops. Amitabh during his superstardom days never attempted to do off-beat roles for fear of flopping and when he did he was no longer a star. Its very unfair say that Amitabh grabbed the no.1 position from Kaka. It just happened and Kaka managed to be in the business even after that. When Amitabh himself has mentioned this why do these journalists keep saying something which is not a fact. Maybe they have not done enough research and keep repeating what others have written.

The fact remains that Rajesh Khanna will always be remembered for being the first "SUPERSTAR" of indian cinema industry.

So the superstar's 'supportive' family dusted out his dream house (and dream) for about US 14 - 15 MM, hmmm...
Lesson learnt, if you want a museum or any other legacy / motif to your fame, success, contribution, the great movement you were a part of or just your plain old ego, then get off of your backside, while you still can, do what you want done while you're up and about. As a good measure, put all your money, estate everything into a trust, that will fund your own monument.
Don't forget the family though, you must put down in the trust's constitution that the immediate family get free passes twice a year, after all blood is thicker than something.
