lot of people think comedy nights with kapil is succesfull becoz of its characters ad that this show made kapil star....but the truth is kapil was star earlier also from comedy circus...and this show is running only becoz of kapil and no other characters...

if u remember, kapil was labelled star since he won the great india laughter challege on star plus (which was when he began his stint as comedy artist on tv), comedy circus just added to his popularity
