This movie looks like a sentimental chick flick made for teenage girls. I would rather put chilly powder into my eyes than sit through this. But reading the review gives me the impression that the writer is comparing the movie unfairly to the book. The movie can never be as good as the book because you have to cut out most of the character elements, story, situations, plot and condense it to appeal to a big audience who can watch and enjoy it in 100 minutes. The movie has to be watched on its own merit without comparing it to the novel.
your review is too opinionated...you cant find fault with a movie comparing with every detail of the book. its a screen play adaptation, not a copy of the book, ok? go get a life and grow up

Agree. Instead of welcoming a good movie which comes once in a while the writer is obsessed with finding faults. Writing a book and making a movie are two different things.
