He is true dedicated actor, not interested in money and power (unlike NTR, MGR etc). He was (and even now) house-hold name for all generations for several decades, including for house-wives, grand mothers ans students, It is just difficult to find what are his best movies. Because he used to act all varieties equally well. Lastly, if he were from Hindi land or West Bengal, he would have become a world figure and would have been awarded Bharat Ratna long ago. As usual, south talent is never mentioned by media and nation.
simply great guy, on or off the field. his devadas no doubt is far better than anyother version in any other language. savitri is superb as well. sudigundalu probably takes better place than iddaru mitrulu. even social movies like donga ramudu, suputrudu, he is outstanding. he aces comedy as well. again, it is hard to pick just 10 out of his outstanding career. he will be missed.

No...I think ANR was at his career best role in a film called Chankya Chandragupta,in fact no one ever tried before or after this film as ANR

it would have been a masterpiece if not for our great NTR who writes his own mahabharath and ramayan and still comes up with jayamalini songs in mythological and historical movies.
